Theatre Thrivers

Theatre Thrivers is open to keiki ages 8-9. 

Exploring fundamental skills such as script reading, projection, enunciation, blocking, and characterization. The series is aimed to prepare keiki for the main stage.

Objective: In twelve 90 minute sessions students will gain knowledge in fundamental theatre skills and confidence in performance technique.

 

Meet the Instructor: 

Taylor Deskin is currently teaching Performing Arts at Holualoa Elementary school and has been teaching there since 2020. She received her BA in Theatre from the University of Northern Colorado and her teaching licensure from the PEBC.

 Her favorite roles include Johanna from Sweeney Todd and Schwartzy in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Taylor has graced the stage in numerous APAC productions including, 9 to 5: The Musical, Men On Boats, and Margaritaville. She recently assistant-directed Carrie: the Musical, and also performs frequently with  the HI-larious Improv troupe.

 

Taylor is passionate about watching her students discover themselves through the art of theatre!
