Kealakehe High graduate Michael Daniel has recently received his Master of Fine Arts in Film Music Composition from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In 2005, Michael received his Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts majoring in Film Scoring. Michael's musical career was jump-started here in Kona in 2001 when his first musical, The Show Must Go On was performed by the Aloha Performing Arts Company Original Play Festival. Two years later, another of his musicals, Alone, was also premiered in the APAC OPF. Michael is now residing in Northridge, California working on the music for a number of student film and musical theater projects.
