APAC OFFERS "A CHILD'S HISTORY OF HAWAII" AS WORKSHOP

Aloha Performing Arts Company will offer a spring break production workshop for 8-12 year olds March 24 through 29, with a free public performance at the Aloha Theatre at 2:30 on Saturday March 29. Jerry Tracy will direct "A Child's History of Hawaii," his stage adaptation of the book of the same title. Music director will be Gloria Juan-Tapa'atoutai, and members of Aloha Teen Theatre will serve as helpers. The workshop will meet each day, 10:00 a.m. til 4:00 p.m. Morning sessions will be at the APAC loft, and afternoons will be at the Aloha Theatre. Tuition, which includes all materials required for the workshop, is $175 per student, and scholarships are available. Early dropoff at 8:00 a.m. may be offered for an additional fee, if there is sufficient demand. Students will need to bring a lunch, and a mid-afternoon snack will be provided. The workshop offers over thirty hours of instruction in the various aspects of production. Each student is guaranteed a role, and will also assist with technical preparations, such as costumes, props, and sets. Enrollment is limited to 20 participants. Call 322-9924 to register.
