Aloha Performing Arts Company is "Doin' What Comes Naturally" to remind the community that "There's No Business Like Show Business." These are two of the many well known songs from Irving Berlin's immortal Broadway musical comedy "Annie Get Your Gun," APAC's next production, running February 15 through March 8. The starring role of Annie Oakley is played by Kona educator Sue Boyum, and the leading male role of Frank Butler is played by Sue's husband, Dr. Randy Ressler, a local dentist. The show is loosely based on the tempestuous 1888 love affair between Annie and Frank, who are both sharp shooters working for Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show. The flamboyant showman Colonel Cody is played by Dick Hershberger. Catherine Hansen appears in the comic role of Frank's assistant Dolly Tate, and Jaquelynn Collier plays Winnie, Dolly's sister, who is one-half of a knife throwing act with Tommy Keeler, played by APAC newcomer Brian Weaver. Chief Sitting Bull is played by John Powell, and other notable native Americans are Chief Running Deer and Chief Eagle Feather, played by Tyler Wood and Alec Lugo.

Annie's siblings Jessie, Nellie, and Little Jake are played by Sandra Burck, Kirsten Hamar-Schonberg, and Logan Weaver. Other supporting roles include Charlie Davenport, played by Joel Michaelson, Foster Wilson, played by Peter Schonberg, and Pawnee Bill, played by Eugene Gall. A large singing, dancing, acting ensemble includes Bruno Adams, Arlene Araki, Karen Barry, Paula Cornwell, Isaac Dwyer, Chamika Fujioka, Christine Giblin, Dick Gray, Madeline Heeley, Katelyn Howard, Louis Jaeger, Alec Lugo, Brenda Overcast, Celine Pinault, Alison Reeves, Toni Reynolds, Delaney Ross, Marinella Savarese, Tyler Savarese, Lee Vinson, Eileen Weiner, Tyler Wood, and Erin Zagorodney.

Jerry Tracy is directing, assisted by Lee Vinson. Joel Gimpel is music director, Dick Gray is choral director, and Jill Collier is choreographer. Designers include Roy Damron, sets, Toni Reynolds, props, Betsy Iona-Naihe, costumes, and Pam Cornelio, hair and makeup. Producers are Robin O'Hara and Jan Rae. Terry Ann Fujioka will be stage manager, and her husband Bert Foershcler is master set builder.
