ALOHA TEEN THEATRE HOLDS AUDITIONS FOR "A CHRISTMAS CAROL'
Aloha Teen Theatre, a division of the Aloha Performing Arts Company, will be auditioning for volunteer performers for the holiday classic "A Christmas Carol" on Monday, October 29 and Tuesday, October, 30 th at 6:30 p.m. at the APAC loft in Kainaliu. "A Christmas Carol," adapted by Christopher Schario from the novel by Charles Dickens, has a cast of mixed ages. At least five men and four woman are needed for casting. The production will be under the direction of Sandra Burck.
Major roles available are; Scrooge, a cold hearted man who has no love for Christmas, children, or anything pertaining to happiness, and five other actors. These five actors take on numerous roles throughout the production.
Those auditioning will each be asked to read sections from the script. Experience is not required for auditions and newcomers are welcome. Those under the age of 18 may audition only with parental permission. Permission forms are available on the APAC website, www.apachawaii.org.
The APAC loft, site of the auditions, is located in Kainaliu, on the second floor of the building directly across the street from Lavender Moon Gallery. Access is via the lane just south of the building. The entrance is above and behind Loke's Island Memories. Parking is limited, so those attending are encouraged to park on the street or in the public lot just north of the building.
The cast of "A Christmas Carol" will regularly meet during the week and once on the weekend. Rehearsals will be all throughout the month of November and performances are December 21 to December 29 at the Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu. For more information, call the APAC office at 322-9924.
