ALOHA TEEN THEATRE COMEDY OPENS July 20

Aloha Teen Theatre, a division of Aloha Performing Arts Company, opens a three-performance run tonight of the comedy "Happily Ever Once Upon" by Virginia Kidd. The show is a "fractured fairy tale" style spoof, and is directed by Malia Lugo, who also plays Rapunzel. Sandra Burck is assistant director and also plays Melba, the fairy godmother. Louis Jaeger is the production stage manager, and also plays the Pied Piper. Other cast members are Danielle Solomon as Gretchen, Jaquelynne Collier as Cinderella, Miles Lugo as Rumplestiltskin, Kainui Rapaport as Prince Charming, Micah Kirn as Jason, Zoe Slavonic as Goldilocks, and Delaney Ross as Red Riding Hood. Cathrerine Hansen is the adult supervisor, Ashley Pique is costume designer, assisted by Jacquelynne Collier, Karen Hagopian is hair designer, assisted by Danielle Solomon, Bridget Clarke is make up designer, assisted by Christi Halversen, and Tyler Wood is set and props designer.

"Happily Ever Once Upon" is the product of a two week intensive workshop. The show will be presented tonight and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu, which has provided free workshop space to ATT for most of the rehearsal period.
