That sweet transvestite and his motley crew did the time warp on Broadway in a 25th anniversary revival. Complete with sass from the audience, cascading toilet paper and an array of other audience participation props, this deliberately kitschy rock 'n' roll sci fi gothic is more fun than ever.

APAC GEARING UP TO DO THE "TIME WARP" AGAIN!

That infamous transvestite scientist, Dr. Frank N. Furter, will be up to his old tricks again at the Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu during Halloween week. Aloha Performing Arts Company revives Richard O'Brien's gothic cult rock musical "The Rocky Horror Show" for a limited engagement of four nights only: October 28, 29, 30, and 31. Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, curtain is at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday October 30th features a "Science Fiction Double Feature," with performances at 7:00 and 10:00 p.m.

Reigning over a spooky castle full of misfits and malcontents as Frank this year is Lee Vinson, who is also the choreographer of the production. Sue Boyum, the show's vocal director, is the sexy servant Magenta, Jessica Wilson is the tap dancing Columbia, David A. Payne is the Narrator as well as co-producer, and Max Watts is Riff Raff, the butler cum alien commander. Brad and Janet, the innocent young couple who stumble into Frank's castle on a dark and stormy night, are played by Sam Valenti and Sara Hagen. Barry Levine plays Frank's hunky creation, Rocky, and Miguel Montez plays two roles: Eddie, a flash frozen biker, and Dr. Evrett Scott, an ex-Nazi who comes to the castle looking for his nephew, Eddie. The Phantoms, a singing, dancing chorus of castle groupies, include Bill Cottle, Tracey Fosso, Ranae Keane, Rachel Leonard, Jana Powell, Janemarie Singer, and Robin O'Hara, who also serves as assistant to director Jerry Tracy. Other members of the team are: Carol Elwyn, co-producer; Zach Hagen, stage manager; Sharon Cannon, music director; Gerald Lucena, set and costume designer; Cathy Riehle, lighting designer; Katie Burck, sound designer; Jeffrey Werle, makeup designer; and Toni Reynolds, properties designer.

Tickets for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shows are $17 for students with ID and senior citizens age 65 and up, and $20 for adults. A "Participation Kit" of props for audience members will be on sale in the lobby for $5.00. Outside props will not be allowed. Tickets for the final show, on Halloween night, are $25, which includes the kit as well as an intermission Costume Parade. For more information, call 322-9924
