Aloha Performing Arts Company has received a $23, 577 grant from the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts to help fund activities for the current season, ending June 30, 2006. SFCA's grants are made possible through appropriations from the Legislature of the State of Hawaii and by the National Endowment for the Arts. Last year, the foundation welcomed a new source of funding from the Department of Human Services, and the partnership continues through fiscal year 2006. SFCA is commemorating it's 40th anniversary this year, and APAC welcomes the opportunity to join in the celebration by helping nurture the arts in the Kona community.
