APAC Artistic Director Jerry Tracy has been leading the Tuesday Trouper class, specifically designed for 8-12 year olds, for a decade. The class meets from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, with a minimum size of 5 students, and a maximum of 15. Tracy is usually assisted by a member or members of Aloha Teen Theatre. The first half of the class is usually devoted to various "team building" exercises and games to boost self esteem and confidence, as well as improve articulation, projection, and characterization. After a snack break, students generally work on performance material, which is thematic, and has included poems, personal stories, memories of special relatives, and demonstrations. Each student is encouraged to bring something of his or her choice to be included in the sharing performance on the last Tuesday, to which they can invite friends and family. The show generally also includes a choreographed piece of music, in which the entire class participates. Tuesday Troupers have commonly gone on to be part of Aloha Teen Theatre, and audition for APAC mainstage shows.
